The clash Royale game is simple and easy to learn, but it is difficult to understand. The design of this game took the form of minimum awesome product which made its creation, implementation and alteration easily achievable with the use of a small development team.

The combat features

    The combat is a real time PVP
    The players Match against each other is automatic
    Enemy troops are attacked by the buildings within a range
    In a field of 3 buildings that is two arena towers and a king's tower, the two players face off across it.
    Decks usually have eight cards in total
    Players can get four cards from a deck that was assembled before the game
    Every player has an n advantage of having an elixir that generates over time up to a cap of 10
    The game comes to an end when the players time is over or has earned three stars

Progress


The game has multiple avenues that ensure players progress both in micro and macro steps

King levels

These are earned through a collection of experience. Experience is earned through; leveling cards, donating cards and completing achievements.

Cards

Cards are considered to be the meat of the game. Each card is made through battles, rewards and store purchases. Cards are categorized into three; individual troops, spells, and buildings.

Arena tiers and trophies

Trophies can be lost or won depending on how a player is successful in the combat. Trophies are used as access gates to new arenas and adding more aspiration goals for the player to achieve. The uses of a tiered unlock system; the developer ensures that the player always has something to collect and level up. It is not simple to unlock these features, but the system gives the player clear goals to progress hence leading to a positive effect on retention.

Free chests

These are a literal reward in timers. Free chests are on a 4-hour timer which encourages the players to have multiple sessions per day. A player can store up to 2 chests so as to gain the buffer to open them. Free chests can also be used to reward hard currency, so it acts as consistency currency trap. Crown chests, on the other hand, increase the player's session length on a daily basis.
